Man Robbed, Assaulted By Three Men In Newark: Police

A man was robbed and assaulted by three men in Newark on the early morning of Tuesday, May 14, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.

At 4:45 a.m., a man was walking toward Ferry Street when three men approached him and began striking him in the face with closed fists, Fragé said. 

The man fell to the ground and was then kicked and stomped by the suspects, who took his personal belongings before fleeing on foot, turning left on Lafayette Street, Fragé said.

The suspects are described as a white Hispanic male, wearing a North Face jacket, black pants, and black and white sneakers, a Black man, wearing a hooded sweatshirt bearing a Kappa logo, black pants, and black and white sneakers and a Black man wearing all-black clothing, Fragé said.
